Jim Garrett

Paralegal

Jim Garrett is a native of Lynchburg, VA, and moved to Charlotte, NC in 1983. He graduated from Lynchburg College in 1996, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Jim spent the first 25 years of his business career in banking, eventually rising to the position of President of a local community bank in Charlotte. He then started his own companies in the field of residential mortgages and securities brokerages. Law has always, however, been his passion, and for the past 14 years has served as a legal assistant/paralegal in the fields of family law, Wills & Estates, and Mortgages. Jim is also a professional musician, a PGA Area Captain, and a Party Judge for the Mecklenburg Board of Elections. When not working, Jim enjoys golfing, playing music, and spending time with his wife.
