A native of Phoenix, AZ Holly moved to the NC Mountains in 1987 when she was in middle school. She has called Watauga County home ever since. She began her interest in the law during a break from college and went back to pursue a degree in Political Science, with a pre-professional legal studies concentration. She graduated cum laude from Appalachian State University in 2001. She began her paralegal career in February 2002 and worked as a domestic paralegal until November 2013. She then began working for the State of North Carolina, first as a Deputy Clerk in the Watauga County Clerk of Courts office and then for 9 years for the Department of Adult Correction in Probation/Parole. She returned to the paralegal field in January 2024 and is excited to be back.
Holly is a huge animal lover. When not at work she enjoys walks and trips to the dog park with her two huskies. She also loves travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
